First Holy Communion at Our Lady of Sorrows/Santísima Trinidad is a two year program offered through our CCD/Faith Formation program. Classes begin in September and First Communions are made during the month of May. Students preparing for this sacrament must attend weekly Mass on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation.

Additionally, they will need to know their basic prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be and the Act of Contrition. Parents should take time to teach their children these prayers and to answer their children's questions regarding this sacrament. Students from Sorrows/Santísima Trinidad, who are enrolled in Catholic School are not required to attend CCD classes, as they have religion class everyday. However, they should contact the CCD office to see when they would be able to schedule the reception for First Confession and First Communion at our parish.
